Venue

The Westin San Diego is located at 400 W Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101 and is only 3 miles northwest of the San Diego International Airport (SAN).

Air Transportation

Ground Transportation

Taxi Cab Service: Taxi service is available throughout the city. The estimated taxi price between the hotel and SAN is $10 one way.

Shared-Ride Vans: 
Several companies offer ride share services at San Diego International Airport. Super Shuttle is offering ASOR attendees a 10% discount on shared ride and premium car reservations when booking online using group code 9NT64.

Travelers can be dropped off curbside at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Terminal 1: Exit baggage claim via the escalators, walk across the Sky Bridge toward Ground Transportation and the parking lot, exit down the escalators toward the parking lot, and turn right to the Transportation Plaza. Use crosswalk to the third lane for pick-up area.

Terminal 2: Upon exiting baggage claim, use main crosswalk to Transportation Plaza. Ridesharing pick-up is located in the second lane on the right.

Public Transportation: San Diego has a comprehensive public transportation system with bus, light rail, and freight options to get anywhere in the city and the neighboring communities. Visit the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) website to plan your route.

The Westin San Diego is located on the city bus line at the Broadway & State Street stop. Route 992 is a direct route between the hotel and Terminal 1 at San Diego International Airport and operates between 5:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. every 15 minutes on weekdays and 30 minutes on weekends and holidays (one-way ticket price is $2.25). The hotel is .2 miles from the Santa Fe Depot that services Amtrak and COASTER commuter trains that include stops in Old Town, Sorrento Valley, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. It is also easy to access the MTS Trolley from the hotel – there are three light rail lines that serve popular areas such as Downtown, the Convention Center, SDSU, Old Town, and the Mexican border. Visa Waiver Program Changes
Alert for those who normally travel to the U.S. on the Visa Waiver Program (VWP): Changes have taken place including new passport requirements (e-passports now required) and restrictions for those who have traveled to Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan or Yemen since March 1, 2011. If you have traveled to any of these countries, you cannot travel to the U.S. under the VWP. You will need a visa.

E–Passports

As of April 1, 2016, e-passports are required for those traveling under the VWP. These passports have a machine-readable zone on the biographic page and a digital chip containing biometric information about the passport owner. Information.

Electronic System for Travel Authorization
The Department of Homeland Security has established the “Electronic System for Travel Authorization,” an automated system to determine eligibility to travel under the VWP. All persons traveling under the VWP must apply for an ESTA. Approved ESTA applications are good for a period of two years.
