ASOR is accepting applications for the 2022 Student Paper Award. This award is conferred upon the author(s) of a paper presented during either component (virtual, Oct. 19-23 or in-person/Boston, Nov. 16-19) of the Annual Meeting that conveys the results of a study about ancient Near Eastern and wider Mediterranean societies in a clear, understandable and convincing fashion. The first author and presenter of the paper must be a registered student at the time of presentation in order to be eligible for consideration for this award. Students will need to complete the following steps to be considered for the award. Applications are due November 7.
1. Please complete this Google Form in order to apply for the Student Paper Award.
2. Submit your pre-recorded paper presentation (mp4 video, 20 minutes maximum) by November 7 to Jared Koller (jaredkoller@asor.org) using a DropBox link or other file sharing method. Note: If you are presenting as part of the virtual component in October and your presentation is uploaded to ASOR’s Virtual Meeting Schedule, you may skip step 2 (but the Google Form application is still required).
Applications and paper presentations are both due by November 7.
Please note that this award is independent of the Sean Dever Memorial Prize, which is conferred by the W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research.
