Dear Members and Annual Meeting Participants,
It is with regret we write to inform you that we have determined ASOR’s 2020 Annual Meeting, scheduled for November 18-21 in Boston, cannot be held in person due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is particularly disappointing because 2020 marks the 120th anniversary of ASOR’s founding, and we had a particularly special meeting planned.
Even though the pandemic has forced us to hold a different type of meeting, the ASOR staff and Program Committee are preparing to rework this exciting program into a virtual format that will deliver the full content of our record-breaking number of submissions in a manner that will serve our community most effectively. This is a complicated endeavor, but we are confident that the outcome will be a positive new first for ASOR. Please bear with us in the short term; we plan to write with more specifics by mid-July.
In the meantime, we have suspended registration for the Boston in-person meeting. We will be in touch with you by mid-July regarding the 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting logistics and other key information, including how we will handle registration fees that have already been paid.
